The guards looked among each other as Zero was giving commands. He wasnt the king, but they were smart decisions, ones they could get behind. "We can leave reconstruction to the more civilian people, the guard can take up more training while we wait for more to join the forces. As for weak points, we're not sure. Our kingdom walls are solid but the attack came from inside. Which Katrocias easily did, we never really closed our gates, it is an open city for the merchants and such for our trade and properity. He never attempted to take the city before either and he has been through here commonly."

"leaving the gates open should be fine we should probably get some watchmen up higher to watch the rooftops we should also send warnings to the neighboring kingdoms to watch the rooftops as well."

Dinod ...

The guards nodded "Very well, consider it done sir." They then went off to make it done, getting watchmen for the rooftops and sending of messengers. It all seemed pretty quiet now, save for some sounds of construction in the distant halls. There was just him and a single watchman guard in the room he was in.

It would probably be a bit before things were done enough to get back to any sort of normal or make a decision for a king, but the way Zero was commanding them around, it really seemed like they'd fall in line. He probably had some time for a few things before things were coming down.

zero walks over to the guard "so what is to be done about a pointing a new king seeing as he had no kin are they chosen by a certain group or by winning a challenge of some type?" zero asked the guard will taking a small breather from leading

The guards looked to Zero "We take to following the strong that we as a kingdom deam worthy to lead. With final decisions being set by the head of the guard." The guard looked him over, head to toe. "You've been taking a lot of lead, showing you know what to do. You also shown strength in the place our king failed to. You could be a likely candidate. I think so. The head guards likely wont convien until likely candidates have shown themselves." He said while giving Zero a look like he was already a likely candidate.

As Zero was off looking around, he ran into one of the head guards, coming back from organizing new placements "Ah the hero, hello. A moment please." He politely stopped Zero and gave a claw to chest salute. "Lot of the guard has seen your work and liked your ideas of how to handle the situation. As such, since we have no king, would you act as our stand-in leader? It may be temporary and you might be challenged for the spot, but you'd basically be our king for a short trial like time. What do you say?"

The guard nodded and then bowed "It is done then, you are our acting king until further notice. I shall make the announcement immediately." He stood tall again, about to take his leave. "Is there anything you command sir?"

Looking around the castle, there wasnt much needed. Except for construction and whatnot for the moment. The town was pretty much just getting back to normal. He is pretty much free to go for the moment. Although he knows he might be called upon at any moment.

The outskirts of the kingdom were pretty clear. The guard made good work to keep the area around the kingdom pretty safe. If he was to hunt for a fight, he would have to go further. Unless he just wanted to hunt small game, like deer or such. Small game was the only thing the guard let roam around the outskirts.

He ventures out further, south, away from the large mountain mass north of Frizta, and he travels a decent ways. Luckily Frizta could be seen from decently far away. While heading out though, he does manage to pick up on the trail of a Chimera. He can easily follow the trail to over a hill.

Zero gets back to the castle, which was working away at repairs. He gets to the kings room and goes to rest for the night, fully healing himself.

When Zero went to help with the reconstruction, he would find one of the head guards taking a note from a messenger before the messenger left. He was reading it before Zero got close enough and he noticed. "Ah hello there sir. It appears news of the attack and the death of the king has already spread to at least one neighboring city. They are wanting to know our condition and are sending a few troops out to check on the situation and assist. They want to know what happened. Not sure what we will tell them though." The guard sighed, scratching his chin a bit in thought.

The reconstruction was going nicely though, the castle was already nearly put back together.
